Shimmer Blushes are up! Also, current list of International Countries we ship to...

Regarding the Shimmer Blushes

So the Shimmer Blushes are now up! They will be under the "Blushes" category but if you wanted to zero in on them, click on the "Shimmer Blushes" category under "Blushes." They will also be broken down into Cool, Neutral, & Warm colors. (And yes, we do notice that we're lacking a few more Cool colors so those are in the works ASAP!)

For one week only--Today (January 26) until Sunday (February 1) at 8:00 p.m. Central Standard time, I am running a special sale on the entire Shimmer Blush Collection as a set. Go to the Limited Edition page to see details. This is for those of you that want to sample and/or own all the colors. However, you can also just mix and match them with the other regular (non-shimmer) Blushes and purchase them in the "2 for" or "4 for" Sets that we sell.

**Edited to clarify: The Shimmer Blushes are a part of the regular collection. We are just running a special deal for those that want to sample/own all eight of them for one week. But they are here to stay for sure!

Regarding International Shipping

For those of you that may not get a chance to check, here is my current list of International countries we ship to:

Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

I have gotten a little bit more relaxed on the shipping areas in that I don't necessarily have to do a "test ship" anymore before I add your country. If you are a regular shopper (like three or more orders a month) and you know there are normally not many issues or problems with shipping to your country, I'll be glad to simply add your country onto my list--just let me know! Of course, if any problems arise, we'll have to investigate and see what's going on and possibly change it later in the future, but for now, just email me at if you'd like your country added.

Sneak Peak of the new Shimmer Blushes/Glows

Just to give you all an idea of what you'll be getting when you spend over $17 (until this Friday afternoon that is), here is an arm swatch picture of all the colors of the new blushes that will be available at the end of this month.

FYI, you may need to click on the picture to get a larger view:

I started out formulating these with the idea of glows or all over face colors most similar to Bare Minerals' line. I remember when I used to wear BE and how much I liked Clear Radiance although I wished it was just a little more suited for my golden olive skintone. I recently got to try BE's "True" & "Glee" and was wowed by those as well. I love the light infusion of color that blushes of this type deliver when I want a fuss-free application and a natural look.

For those of you that have tried my blushes, I have formulated most of those pretty well pigmented simply because I like a blush that lasts and not having to use a lot of product at once. I also don't add a whole lot of shimmer to them (with an exception of Breathtaking and Illuminated) because I prefer a more natural "skin-like" sheen. These, however, are not quite as pigmented (although it would be a stretch to call them "Glows" as most of them are still pretty rich in color) but have a beautiful sparkly, some pearly finish that is meant to add highlights to your skin and/or give a youthful glow. Now I don't think you can see the "sparklies" in the picture above very well, but they are there! As I've mentioned before, I am horrible with arm swatches and photos I take always seem to look washed out and everything looks better in person.

Just a run down on the colors:

Ardent: A warm terracotta.

Audacious: A fun purple based pink.

Dazzling: A more beige and lighter version of Illuminated and with less "flyaway" sparkles.

Fascinating: A stunning medium golden brown. My favorite out of the bunch (I wear Grace 4.0) and I love it both as an all over wash for my eyes and a complexion enhancer to give me more of a dewy glow.

Glamorous: A golden apricot with golden shimmer. I think this is my favorite of all the peachy blushes I have ever formulated.

Lovely: A well pigmented rosy pink.

Tenderness: A fleshy pink with just a hint of glow.

Sensational: A very rich coppery bronze shimmer. (Ladies with medium to darker complexions, this is for you!)

I actually might be adding a couple more shades to the list if I get a chance. If not when I release these, soon after. But do be looking for these by the end of this month! I'll make sure to post here when they are up!

Oh, and FYI for some of you that tested some of these for me, there are only four colors out of the 10-14 that made it into this line up "as is." There were a few that were reformulated to improved the finish/tone but feel free to email me if you were looking for a certain one. There are some I just could not reformulate as I realized I used a non-lip safe ingredient (ultramarines) and I just could not come up with an identical color. But it is very important for me that they are lip safe so they can also be used as a lip color if needed.

Eyeshadow Sample Sale: Three Days Only!

For three days ONLY (Tuesday, January 20 to Friday afternoon, January 23, about 12:30p.m. CST) we are having a special deal on eyecolor samples! Get 12 different colors for only $7! The only catch besides the limited time it will be available for is you cannot choose the same color more than once and no substitutions of our other products--it must be an eyecolor! But take advantage of this offer because this is one of those deals I don't plan to run often. Being a new company, this is one of my ways to get people to try my products and get the word out.

We will also be running a special “Get With Purchase Deal” for orders over $17 these same three days where you get a sample baggie set of all eight of our new Shimmer Blushes/Glows! You’ll get a “sneak peek” as they will not release until later this month. I'll try to have some swatches up maybe tomorrow if the lighting cooperates! But remember, this deal will also end with the Eyecolor sample sale. Once you see the listing for the 12 for $7 Eyecolor Set gone, this GWP for the Shimmer Blushes/Glows will not be available anymore.

As usual, your order MINUS shipping is what counts toward the GWP. So if you buy something for $15.99, your $2 shipping will not count toward your total. You must get $1.01 more to qualify.

And for our International Customers, we decided to start our special Valentine’s Day only kit today as well so that if you want to give this set away to a loved one, you can get it in time! This set will no longer be available February 14. It includes a customized kit where you get to choose your powder, blush, and eyecolors. The perfect gift for your best friend or family member! LOL, or yourself...

Finally, there is also a special set for those that want to purchase full sizes of the remaining LE’s. This will only be available until supplies last or early/mid February, whichever comes first…

You’ll find these special deals in the ”Limited Edition” Category! Remember, there are only three days to the Eyecolor Sample sale & Get With Purchase offer and it will promptly end this Friday, January 23 at around 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. Make sure to keep in mind that since this is a sale, orders might take longer to process and ship out especially if you place your order that Friday morning. (It might be Monday before those orders ship out.)

A shipping memo & a soon coming Eyecolors Sample sale

Just a quickie note to let you all know that Monday is a U.S. Holiday (Martin Luthur King Jr. Day) and that any orders placed Friday-Sunday this weekend will likely not ship out until Tuesday, January 20 as the Postal Service will be closed on the 19th.

I love surprises so I won't give away the details of the Eyeshadow sample (and maybe some select eyeshadow items) sale, but I do plan on having one maybe the middle of next week? It will be a quick sale that may only last 3-4 days. Again, just another "heads up" for those of you that may be planning an eyeshadow sample order this weekend and to maybe hold off until then so you can get a better deal.

Have a good weekend everyone!

New eyeshadow brushes!

The new Ingenue brushes are finally here!

We will no longer be carrying the 5-Piece Ingenue Eyeshadow Brush set because we have added to our collection some brushes I have come to love to make it an 8-Piece Set: Crescent Fluff, Round Contour, & Angle Fluff. These are all for those areas around your crease area where you need a more contoured shaping to get the perfect application. You can also just get these brushes individually, just go to the Ingenue Brushes page. We also have the other brushes back in stock as well.

Not only that, but we have decided to add back (but not quite as great a discount as the Christmas sale) the Premium 4-Piece Brush set due to popular demand and to give those of you who wanted to get all of them a price break.

Just FYI, we have a limited stock of all these on hand (both Ingenue & Premium) BUT as soon as they start running low, we'll be restocking them again ASAP--it might take about a week or so to get them back in, but they will be here to stay! (Unless of course my supplier discontinues them or is Out of Stock indefinitely--something that would be out of my control.) And if you end up buying any of these brushes and decide to Blog about them or post them at a popular forum, give me a heads up and I'll try to stock up on them ahead of time! Just let me know at

So there you have it! Hope you all have had a great 2009 so far!

Update on the brushes

We are almost out of the Premium Face Brush set for $49.99; Natural Lash Set for $9.99; and the Premium Eyeshadow Brush set for $14.99 is out of stock. Also our Ingenue Eyeshadow brushes are still out of stock and may not be in until early next week as my supplier had some delays with my order and did not get it shipped out until this morning.

But...good news: the Ingenue Dual Fiber brushes are back in stock! I have also added a 2 for $11.25 set for those of you that like to buy in bulk. Also in stock: Mascara Guard and the Premium Eyeshadow brushes are available for individual purchase now (but no longer available in the specially priced kits).

So make sure to check out all our brushes here on our Brushes & Accessories page!

And don't forget, I still have the Get With Purchase deal as outlined in this post until January 8, Thursday so make sure that if you order over $55, you leave me a note in the comments section which color eyeshadow you want!
